Where are you originally from, and where are you currently living?
Armenian born in Russia, raised in Ukraine, moved to Arkansas in 2017, and am about to become a designated Floridian as I am moving there as I write this . My specific primary location will be Clearwater.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
Probably a few things, but I disapprove of people littering. It still amazes me how, despite all the laws and associated fines, people ignore this. I’ve seen when folks driving throw stuff out of the car, and that’s just not acceptable. If no trash is available, have to take your stuff home.
What are some random facts about you?
3 master’s degrees from 3 universities, 3 cities, and 2 countries (I have not had an opportunity to do a Ph.D., hence Master Collector)
Advanced Open Water diver (only 16 dives, but hey, I am on my way for more)
Have a 5th Kyu (blue belt) from Goju-Ryu karate
I was born with bright blue eyes that turned green and grey later in life
I very much enjoy all things Sci-Fi (movies, shows, books, games)
Yep, I used to be a lawyer
What are your strengths?
Relentless pursuit. Just like any other human, I may feel that there is so much energy left or so much capacity for optimism, but typically, if I set my mind to see through a specific goal, I will, no matter how hard it gets.
What is your claim to fame?
Lately, my claim to fame has been staying humble and not seeking fame at all, haha. That’s the lesson you learn the longer you live.
That said, coming to the States with precisely $0 on my own while prepping for two years and getting a scholarship (including the one that paid for my airfare) to survive on $900 per month for about three years, among other things, was quite the endeavor.
What is the best advice you have received?
The best fight is the one that never happened” (from the teachings of my former martial arts training). The goal is to try to sort out any conflicts without a ‘fight,’ be it true physical or another form of altercation.
